Cut Costs, Cut Carbon - Practical Workshop for Not-for-Profits

We know that climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing our communities and we also know that taking action can feel overwhelming, especially for not-for-profit organisations with limited time and resources. Otago Community Trust, in partnership with Opportune, are pleased to invite you to a free Climate Action Support Workshop for community organisations.

This practical workshop will show how reducing emissions and reducing costs can go hand in hand, freeing up more resources for the work that matters most.

What we’ll cover

  • Understanding Aotearoa’s climate context
  • Measuring your organisation’s carbon footprint
  • Practical ways to reduce both emissions and costs in your organisation

Real-world solutions that can be applied for your organisation across:

  • Energy efficiency (buildings and fuel use)
  • Vehicle usage (including cost/ benefit examples for EVs and Hybrids)
  • Using solar for your organisation
  • Working with your suppliers to increase their sustainability.

There’ll also be a hands-on exercise to create the carbon footprint of your own organisation.

What you’ll gain

A carbon footprint calculator for your own organisation

Practical actions to reduce emissions and save costs in your organisation

Confidence to take the next step on climate action

Whether you’re just getting started or already exploring sustainability, this workshop is designed to meet you where you are. Spaces are limited, so please Register using the button above, or send us an email with your Name + Organisations Name and confirmation that you would like to attend.

We’d love to see you there.

Ngā mihi nui,
