About Us

Our firm specialises in delivering services to clients in Audit, Risk Management, Governance and Compliance. We have worked with some of New Zealand’s largest organisations, as well as small to medium size businesses. We have conversations at the Board table to understand the issues impacting Directors, then translate their challenges into tangible action plans for which we execute and deliver to the Board’s requirements.

Managing Director, Andrew Douglas, has led the delivery of advisory and assurance services to organisations in New Zealand, United Kingdom and the United States of America for over fifteen years, having spent the majority of his career in the Big Four professional service firms.  His experience in the public and private sectors includes Banking, Insurance, Energy, Retail, Tertiary Education and the Primary Health sectors.  In New Zealand, this has included with ANZ, Kiwibank, IRD, Meridian Energy, Transpower, Farmlands Co-operative and Alliance Group.  Opportune also delivers services for small-to-medium size (SME) New Zealand business.

Our firm is a Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) Public Practice and is a Qualified Auditor practice.
